Covid-19 Safety Guidelines

Welcoming, safeguarding and taking care of others is at the very heart of what we do and who we are. We deliver high standards of hygiene and cleanliness across all our motel rooms and operations. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and to ensure guest safety as the motel re-opens, we have elevated those norms even further by launching the following safety guidelines document:

We are pleased that we can capitalise on the natural advantage offered by our extensive 5 Acre grounds and our unique Four Accommodation Block x 5 Room layout features. Both features facilitate easy compliance with social distancing guidelines by all Guests.

NEW QR Code Scanning Points:

All guests should note that unique QR codes have been set up for each room and in each communal area and the open deck.We request the cooperation of all Guest to scan their room QR code on entry to their room and follow the Data Entry request as instructed.This process will facilitate more effective contact tracing should a need arise.Here is what we are doing to protect everyone in this Covid-19 environment:

Safety Guidelines for Guests

  • Firstly if you or any of your group has been overseas or live in current “Hot Spots” announced by State Government at any given time; have exposure to infected patients and/or feels unwell; please contact us, as we will happily postpone your booking to a later date subject to availability.
  • Please assist us by completing the Covid safety questionnaire we have emailed to you for completion.
  • Please email completed questionnaire to us prior to arrival.We request credit card payment upfront to help us uphold social distancing guidelines.
  • On arrival, please call the reception desk to obtain details about your room number and information about the check-in process.We are required to take guest temperature on arrival with an Infra-red Thermometer prior to check in process (NB: Abnormal temperature reading and/or refusal by guests for temperature checks will prevent us from granting accommodation to such guests).
  • If you need to visit the office to speak to reception staff for any matter that cannot be dealt with over the telephone, please use the hand sanitiser available at the desk and maintain the 1.5 m social distancing protocol at all times.
  • At the end of your stay, Guests are requested to place their used towels on the floor of the bathroom.
  • We continue to use only freshly laundered linen (towels, pillow cases, bedsheets, doona cover) between each guest occupation as part of our Best Practice room cleaning regime.
  • Guests are advised that common facilities like the Lounge Room, Deck Area, BBQ equipment and microwave ovens will not be available for Guest use currently in accordance with Victorian Government Guidelines.Continental Breakfast at $8 per person is available. This must be pre-ordered and prepaid before 6 pm the previous day.

1. Serve of Corn flakes or Sultana Bran
2. Small Jug of Milk
3. Serve of Fruit compote
4. 2 slices of bread  (toaster in room)
5. Butter plus your choice of: Jam, Vegemite or Honey6. Extra Teabags and Coffee pods

Safety Guidelines for Staff & Operations

  • Staff are not to arrive on site for work if they do not feel well or show any signs of cold or flu symptoms.
  • To minimise physical contact between staff and guests, we are requesting prepayment by guests for rooms booked, breakfast orders and lunch orders; otherwise using the telephone OR online payments.
  • All staff are to use hand sanitisers at the start and end of each shift and on entry and exit to/from guest rooms during the cleaning process.
  • All motel handbooks have been removed from rooms to reduce contact points between guests.
  • All non-essential accessories have been removed from rooms to reduce contact points.
  • We have introduced enhanced cleaning processes that comply with State Government Health Department Guidelines, including extra supervisory review after every room clean to ensure compliance.
  • Cooked breakfasts will not be served in the Dining Room currently. Instead pre-ordered and prepaid Continental Breakfast will be delivered directly to rooms for Guests to enjoy at their leisure.
