Post Pandemic Major Renovation Update
Our motel sits on 5 acres of grounds, located within the vicinity of the Alpine Heritage Landscape Areas of Mount Buffalo. However, we are only a 5-minute drive to Bright and across the road from the 98 km Rail to Murray Rail Trail where you can seek out pedal to produce offerings by hiring a bike from Bright. You can request bikes to be delivered to you and picked up at the end of the day by booking online.
Camp Kitchen
We are proud to launch our coveted designer camp kitchen equipped with two BBQs, two sinks, microwave oven and preparation island benches.
NB: guests can opt for restaurant take-out meals, cook their own or if preferred, by arrangement with motel management, outsource to professional caterers and waiting staff.
Deck Alfresco Area
This extended alfresco space furnished with tawny rainforest teak furniture boasts pristine distant views of Mount Buffalo and the Ovens River at the end of the property. The wow factor and ambiance of this space (whether for a couple, family members or social group) must be experienced on site.

Recreational Room
Our recreational room has been revamped for guest enjoyment and group interaction. However we need to abide by government density guidelines.
Rooms
We are pleased to inform you that the majority of our fully renovated ensuite rooms are now repainted with bathroom heaters installed.
In addition, a weighted blanket was been added in some rooms to create a better sleep experience for our guests.
Grounds
The autumnal colours at Buffalo Motel and CountryRetreat are always amazing, as you can see from this photo. The grounds are in glorious shape now, after soaking up the Spring rain. Roses are blooming and all the trees are green with new growth. The next exciting project will be the beautification of the riverfront, at the end of the property.
